Over spring break JD and I went to Bryce Canyon. We had so much fun! Initially we were planning on going to Moab because I have never been to Arches. As we were on our way there we called and found out that there was no vacancy available anywhere. So we decided to go to Bryce Canyon instead.
The drive down was pretty fun! We stopped at Big Rock Candy Mountain to go for a little walk. I even took a picture of the interesting colored mountain but it doesn't do it any justice. I think that someday JD and I will go to Big Rock Candy Mountain and go the the bike trails they have there. It looked pretty fun.
As we approached Bryce Canyon both of us forgot where to turn off to head into the canyon. Once we pulled into Tropic we realized that we had gone too far. We were okay for the detour because we really like Tropic. John's grandmother is from Tropic and so it was like a trip down memory lane.
We stayed at Ruby's Inn, which we enjoyed a lot. The next morning and headed out for the trails. We hiked down into the canyon and then went on the Navajo Loop. It wasn't super long just a little under 1.5miles but not all of the snow had melted at that point so most of the trail wasn't groomed very well. We trudged thorough plenty of mud and snow. Due to the snow we were essentially alone on the entire trail. It was great! We got in a lot of good conversation. It was absolutely beautiful, I just wish that I was a better photographer. The snow looked great on the red hoodoo's.
We had a great time and are excited for our next trip there.
Loved the pictures! Great that you took the little trip. We had a fun time w/ you guys there last time!
